Length, weight, and volume conversions are all simple multiplication — a fixed ratio connects any two units in the same category, since they all start counting from zero at the same point (no length, no weight, no volume). Temperature is the odd one out: Celsius, Fahrenheit, and Kelvin don't share a common zero point, so converting between them requires an offset, not just a multiplier. Celsius to Fahrenheit is (°C × 9/5) + 32, not a simple ratio — which is why a temperature conversion can't be done with the same single "multiply by this number" shortcut that works for, say, converting kilometers to miles.
